"It is a matter of Torah and I need to Learn" (Brachot 62a) Shlomo's Drash is a modern liberal commentary on the Torah Portion of the week based on Talmud, Midrash and Tanach sources. It written as a personal view of a modern semi-observant Jew. No knowledge of Torah Talmud or Midrash is necessary, but you will gain some.

Rashi Script handout available
Just a quickie before I get out the Shlomo's Drash for the week. Many texts use Rashi script as a way to cite biblical quotations, though many people don't know how to read these. I have written a handout about Rashi script, Hebrew numbering and a reference guide to the names of the books of the Tanach in Rashi script. It is available for download at http://www.shlomosdrash.com/rashi_numbers.pdf
